Postdam Conference
The Postdam Conference took place among the “Big Three” which included Harry S Truman from The Unites States, Joseph Stalin from the Soviet Union and Clement Attlee from the United Kingdom. The conference was to discuss what was going to happen to Europe post war. Many indo China countries were divided by the different powers. One of these countries was Korea. Korea was split into two parts North and South Korea with the 38th parallel as the divider. The Soviet Union with communism took over the north and the United states took over the south and leave south Korea, hoping to leave the south as an independent state.
By August 26th 1945 the Soviet Union took over north Korea uptill the 38th parallel as decided by the “Big Three” in the Postdam Conference.
